Wheelchair vans, stretcher vans and ambulances for your fleet
Financing for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) companies, ambulance services, senior-living communities and mobile clinics. New or used, side- or rear-entry, from any dealer or upfitter.

Medical transportation vehicles we finance
Whether you run two vans on Medicaid broker trips or a full ambulance fleet, the vehicle and its conversion are your biggest cost. We finance both, together.
Rough price ranges for medical transport vehicles
| Vehicle | Typical new price |
|---|---|
| Wheelchair-accessible minivan | $55,000 – $85,000 |
| Full-size wheelchair van with lift | $70,000 – $110,000 |

Which funding fits which transportation need
| The need | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Adding vans or ambulances | Vehicle financing or lease | Lowest cost, fixed payments up to 72 months, conversion included. |
| Waiting 30–60 days on broker or Medicaid payments | Invoice factoring | Cash on completed trips now instead of waiting on the payer. |
| Payroll, fuel and insurance | Business line of credit | Draw when you need it, repay as payments come in. |
| Winning a new contract or territory | Working capital loan | Fixed payments while new routes ramp up. |
Straight talk: never buy a van with a cash advance. Vehicles belong on vehicle financing.

Line up contracts, then add vans
NEMT revenue depends on broker, Medicaid, facility and private-pay contracts, and most payers take 30 to 60 days. Before adding vans, make sure you have trips to fill them, budget for commercial insurance (often a major expense) and driver training, and have a plan for the payment lag. A van that sits idle still has a payment.

Healthcare transportation financing questions
Can a new NEMT company get van financing?
Yes. Startups are considered based on the owners' credit, usually with a down payment. Having broker or facility contracts in place helps.
Can I finance a used wheelchair van?
Yes. Used wheelchair vans from dealers, private sellers and auctions can be financed, as long as the vehicle and seller can be verified.
Is the wheelchair conversion included?
Yes. Financing can cover up to 120% of the vehicle cost, including the lift or ramp conversion, securement and other upfits.
Do you finance ambulances?
Yes. New and used Type I, II and III ambulances and box remounts can be financed.
Can I get paid faster on broker trips?
Invoice factoring can advance cash on completed trips billed to creditworthy payers, so you are not waiting 30 to 60 days.
How much can I finance on the application alone?
Up to about $250,000 with a one-page application, depending on credit and time in business. Larger fleets can be financed with financial statements.

Our small business financing experts are available to guide you through the funding Process.
Despite technological advancements, loans, especially for specialty vehicles like ambulances and medical transport vans, predominantly involve personal interaction with an underwriter to ensure fraud prevention. Automation may not suffice, particularly when dealing with a third party like the vendor and the complexities of vehicle acquisition. In such scenarios, business owners are often better served by collaborating with a Business Loans Broker like Liberty Capital Group, Inc., who can steer them in the right direction.
